چکیده
The paper proposes a method for structured state-feedback controllers design linear time-invariant systems. A necessary and sufficient condition stabilizability of systems, making an appeal to the linear-quadratic (LQ) regulator theory, is first proposed. latter presented in form nonlinear matrix equation. Then, it recast as nonsmooth unconstrained equation using projection onto positive semi-definite matrices cone. Thereby, Newton’s iterative algorithm, based on Clarke generalized Jacobian said projection, This has guaranteed local convergence. Finally, numerical examples illustrate effectiveness proposed method.

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
A parameterized Newton method and a quasi-Newton method for nonsmooth equations
This paper presents a parameterized Newton method using generalized Jacobians and a Broyden-like method for solving nonsmooth equations. The former ensures that the method is well-deened even when the generalized Jacobian is singular. The latter is constructed by using an approximation function which can be formed for nonsmooth equations arising from partial diierential equations and nonlinear ...
متن کاملErratum: Global Convergence of a Nonsmooth Newton Method for Control-State Constrained Optimal Control Problems
Abstract. We investigate a nonsmooth Newton’s method for the numerical solution of optimal control problems subject to mixed control-state constraints. The necessary conditions are stated in terms of a local minimum principle. By use of the Fischer-Burmeister function the local minimum principle is transformed into an equivalent nonlinear and nonsmooth equation in appropriate Banach spaces. Thi...
